🟣 2026 Alberta Indigenous Games

August 7-15, 2026 | Edmonton, Alberta

North America’s Largest Indigenous Summer Games and Canada’s Largest Summer Games

7,000+ Indigenous youth (9,000+ including coaches, chaperones, and officials) will compete in 16 sports over 9 days of competition, culture, and community.

No tryouts required — any team or individual can register to participate.
Open to all Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, Inuit, Native American, Non-Status First Nation) youth across Alberta, Canada, and the United States.

Please review all event details, divisions, and fees in advance to be ready for registration.

IMPORTANT:

All athletes MUST complete the Individual Registration Waiver Form.
Teams may be subject to forfeiting games if waivers are not completed.

Important Information

Individual Registration & Waiver (MANDATORY)

All athletes will be required to complete the Individual Registration Waiver Form prior to participation.

Teams may be subject to FORFEITING GAMES if all athlete waivers are not completed.


Multiple Sport Participation

Athletes may compete in multiple sports.

For team sports on the same days:
👉 Athletes may only play 2 sports if one team has a full roster


Minimum Full Rosters

  • Basketball - 12
  • Soccer - 16
  • Volleyball - 10
  • Baseball - 15
  • Ball Hockey - 13
  • Lacrosse - 13
  • Fastpitch Softball - 15
  • Beach Volleyball - 5

Chaperone Requirement

All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.


Division Adjustments

If there are not enough registrations in a division, divisions may be:

  • Combined
  • Moved to a higher division
  • Or subject to cancellation

  • Canoe/Kayak
  • Cross Country
  • Hand Games
  • Flag Football
  • Tipi Raising
